Under the guidance of my supervisor, Carolyn Downs, I led the implementation of digital accessibility at PSRC. This involved:
Understanding digital accessibility
Learning the legal guidelines for government agencies content
Coordinating a website usability and accessibility audit with our external partner
Developing tools to support staff training and accessibility integration
Implementing resources, training, and content improvements based on the findings of the audit

This a high level document outlining the procedure of the audit and work to follow.
I established a PowerPoint theme with the PSRC fonts, colors, and layouts embedded. The theme expanded upon the existing template and now includes an accessibility guide as well. This ensures efficiency across the agency, as staff simply fill in the blanks to have a consistent, accessible presentation.
An additional guide that serves as a checklist for staff to ensure they are utilizing the theme, template, and following the style and accessible guidelines.
I built a site with Sharepoint on the intranet where all of my accessibility resources are housed for staff. The site also includes additional external resources I compiled to help staff better understand accessibility.
I created a Report Template and Guide for staff. There was a guide already in existence, but it wasn't up to date. I made two separate documents: one as a template for staff to fill in the blanks, the other as an expanded guide including accessibility. The template embeds the fonts, colors, and formatting for PSRC reports made in Word. These improve the consistency of our content while reducing the copyediting workload for the Communications Team.
I supported the data team in developing the first draft of a new ArcGIS StoryMap for the public-facing website. My role was to ensure the final product is accessible and walk the team through how to incorporate accessibility throughout the process rather than as an afterthought. This project is especially dense with data visualizations so meeting accessibility standards could be tricky at times.
